Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All welcome at Capricorn Careers Expo in August

CQUniversity's Community Sports Centre on Rockhampton Campus is once again the venue for the annual Capricorn Careers Expo, scheduled from 10am-4pm on Monday August 5.

Entry will be free of charge.

The University is a sponsor of this event which is expected to attract at least 1200 attendees, especially from local schools. Other sponsors include the Schools to Jobs Alliance CQ, SSS Events and The Morning Bulletin.
