Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Graduands to Step Out in May

Central Queesland University Gladstone campus students will graduate at a prestigious ceremony on Saturday 25 May.

PhotoID:79The graduands, from all faculties, will walk from the Gladstone City Council Chambers in full academic dress to the Gladstone Entertainment Centre for the official ceremony.

A sole bagpiper will lead the procession and CQU is inviting members of the public to line Goondoon Street to support the local graduands.

The majority of the graduands have completed their degree at the local campus with others having completed their studies via distance mode
