CQUniversity has been helping to take the pulse of the regional health system by hosting three 'liveWELL CQ' feedback sessions on behalf of the Central Queensland Primary Care Partnership (CQPCP).
The Q&A sessions have been designed to stimulate ideas, encourage dialogue and cultivate actions.
Around 35 people from various community groups and the University attended the second session on 'Partnering in Action' this week. Participants also video linked from Gladstone, Biloela and Emerald.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Higher Education) Professor Graham Pegg updated the audience on the CQUniversity Health Clinic on Rockhampton Campus, as a working example of a partnership with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services, a State Government initiative.
The University is a member of CQPCP and backs its goal to identify, develop and implement innovative, enduring strategies to improve health outcomes.
CQPCP has been hosting the sessions at the Central Queensland Innovation and Research Precinct (CQIRP) in Ibis Avenue, across the highway from the University's Rockhampton Campus.
