Competing against 21 other Australian universities was quite a challenge, according to CQUniversity Mackay SIFE president, Stephanie McKenna, who is a third-year Bachelor of Theatre student.

"The competition is stiff. Some unis have over 100 people in their SIFE teams. We have just 16. However it was great to catch up with our friends from all over Australia," said Stephanie.

Faculty Advisor for CQUniversity Mackay SIFE, Kim Kirkman, mentioned how well the CQUniversity students performed.

"In front of industry leaders our students had no fear. Many other students from other universities congratulated our team on how well they had performed," said Kim.

The team has now successfully gained two grants of $8000 that allow them to travel to the competition.
