International Rail Expert Gives Public Seminar

Internationally-recognised railways expert Dr Steve Marich was Rockhampton on Tuesday, April 30.
Central Queensland University Centre for Railway Engineering Director Dr Manicka Dhanasekar said Dr Marich was visiting to work on a range of rail research projects at the centre.
A seminar on the "Development of Modified Wheel and Rail Profiles" , looking at new developments and systems in the field, was delivered.
Dr Marich is a metallurgical engineer who was a principal scientist with the BHP Melbourne Research Lab for more than 20 years. He is an independent consultant for rail systems throughout Australia and South-East Asia.
