Self-review starts on December 6

As a part of CQU’s preparation for the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) audit in October 2005, a self-review using the Quality Management Framework (QMF) will occur during the week of December 6 to December 10.

There will be eight review teams, who will each review and report on one of the eight key dimensional areas identified in the QMF, these are:.

PhotoID:1827 ► Governance.

► Planning, Leadership & Management.

► Teaching & Learning.

► Research.

► Community Engagement.

► International & Commercial Activities.

► Services & Facilities.

► Staffing.

The self-review methodology will be a combination of focus groups and enquiry and evidence-based auditing.

You may be requested to assist the University in its quality journey by participating in these activities.

If you are contacted to participate, your full co-operation and commitment to the self-review would be appreciated.

If you are unavailable at this time, we request that you ensure that other staff in your area are aware of, and have full access to policy, procedural and/or process information and documentation.

The outcomes of the self-review process should be constructive, identify good practice, offer suggestions for improvement in the short and long-term, identify perceived weaknesses and identify appropriate documentation to support and evidence review reports. The self-review reports will assist in the preparation of the trial Performance Portfolio early in 2005, which will be submitted to a trial audit.

Following the trial audit, this Performance Portfolio will be improved and submitted to AUQA by July 2005.
