Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Horne Sounds Off; Best-Selling Author at CQU 

Celebrated Australian author, journalist and academic Donald Horne will be in Rockhampton on Friday 7 June to speak about tolerance and what he calls “the need for a permanent liberal-democratic conspiracy.” Since the success of his best-seller, The Lucky Country, in the 1960’s, Donald Horne has been a prolific contributor and analyst of Australian society and he has served the nation in many different capacities.
