Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Columbian education officials visit 

Three leading officials from Columbia’s education system have visited CQU Rockhampton and Gladstone campuses this week to explore links and exchanges with Queensland institutions.

PhotoID:1475 The delegation includes the Vice-Chancellor of Columbia’s Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, the Executive Director of Columbia’s International Studies Advisory Services (ISAS), and the Director of International Relations for ICETEX (the Columbian Government organisation involved in financing higher education and advising students wishing to study overseas).
