Info day for Indigenous people in Mackay

Rain failed to deter eager students who attended this week’s information day for CQU’s Indigenous support centre, Nulloo Yumbah, at CQU Mackay.

PhotoID:1853 The information sessions provided Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with alternative entry information and pathways to assist with gaining entry into university.

Program highlights were the Tertiary Entry Program, undergraduate entry and postgraduate entry.

Laurel Hunt, Tertiary Entry Program coordinator said, “the Tertiary Entry Program gives Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the motivation and confidence to succeed with tertiary education. The program teaches transferable skills that enhance personal growth as well as upgrading qualifications”.
