CQU Melbourne staff and students proudly displaying their work.A team of 30 students and staff from a variety of departments at the Melbourne International Campus courageously ventured into the field of art in an initiative to create a mural for the newly renovated library as well as to express their goodwill, unity and bonding. The theme ‘Coffee Cups and Books' denotes a simple message of reading in a relaxed manner.
The mural, consisting of 15 smaller paintings, or assemblage, were mounted onto the walls of the library and the occasion was honoured by Campus Director Darryl Stewart.
Other works were sorted into groups of 3 or 5 canvases and were mounted onto the reading room walls of the library.
Both students and staff expressed their interest in meeting once a month for regular Art Club activities.
