Relay really rolls with 114 teams

The Relay for Life held at CQUniversity Rockhampton over the weekend (May 30-31) attracted 114 teams - or around 1500 participants - ensuring plenty of support for Cancer Council Queensland.
Once again, Blackwater's Pink Ladies ($32,000) led the fundraising charge, but all teams did their bit as the total edged close to $200,000 (expected to be higher once all banking done).
A crowded track is a happy track
Relay Committee coordinator Ros Bedward told the crowd that Rockhampton's event was one of the State's most successful.
Based on last year's participation, Rockhampton had the most survivors and was among the best for funds raised and participation (per capita).
CQUniversity is proud to host the event, which involved a range of students and staff, in particular the Division of Facilities Management which set up the site and also fielded a team.
