CQU Bundaberg graduates celebrate

There were lots of smiles on the faces of the 160 graduates and their family and friends who attended the CQU Bundaberg graduation ceremony last weekend.

For some it was a real family affair with a mother/daughter combination, a mother/son combination and a husband/wife all receiving their degrees. But one family really are true CQU thinkers.

PhotoID:859 The Forbes family must have some very interesting tales to tell out of school. Dad has been a teacher/principal for many years but within the past five years the rest of the family has also added their mark to the blackboard.

While dad was principal at a local high school, four members of the family decided to study at their local university, and all studied teaching. Last year son Glenn Forbes graduated. Last Saturday mum Ann and son Brendan (pictured kissing mum) graduated with daughter Jane just finished her studies and set to graduate at CQU Bundaberg 2004 graduation ceremony.

The Bundaberg Youth Choir and a ConJazz group added more entertainment. The true colour of the day was celebrated with an academic and graduate procession along Bundaberg’s main street, led by a local piper.
