Business research degree leads to Darwin post

Ricardo Santa is looking forward to applying his research into the 'implementation of information systems on the operational effectiveness of organisations' when he arrives at his new job in Darwin in April.
The CQUniversity Doctor of Business Research graduate has been working at Facilities Management most recently, applying his research model to improve utilisation of the University's building management systems.
His new role as a lecturer at Charles Darwin University will actually start with implementation of online teaching tools for the Faculty of Law, Business and Arts.
From July onwards, Ricardo will be teaching operations management and other business courses. He will supervise research students and be involved in research with Darwin industries.
In short, it's an ideal career match for the former Colombian software company owner and computer programming specialist, who migrated to Australia around 7 years ago with his Australian wife.
"The 3 components of my new job, the implementation of information systems, teaching of management courses and research in industry are thanks to my Doctor of Business Research degree," he said.
"So I am putting in practice the skills developed in my Bachelor of IT and my Doctor of Business Research, both from CQUniversity.
"I'm thankful for the scholarship granted to me for my postgrad studies which made it easier to be what I want to be."
