Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

It was on for young and old during Mini Olympics 

These stars of the future made the most of their podium moment during the Mini Olympics held at Rockhampton Campus on Sunday.

UniNews' Peter Lawrence was on hand to capture the photographic action across a range of sports.

The chess result is still hanging in the balance with the final yet to be decided between Noel Patson and younger opponent Joseph Alley. Volleyball was won by a team including Balpreet Singh, Mani Batra, and Parminder Singh (Jimmy) and badminton was won by Sajith Mohan and 'Wilson'. Daniel and Enoch Pun won the doubles table tennis and the Sri Lankan Lions beat the team of Indian students. Roger Hunt's team won the soccer.
