Peter sports an award for learning and teaching excellence

Associate Professor Peter Reaburn received a Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching during the recent graduation ceremony on Rockhampton Campus.
This award acknowledges Peter for applying inspirational, student-centred teaching strategies and research-based assessment practices, to achieve outstanding, long-term student learning outcomes, through exercise physiology courses.

Peter has been recognised as a learning and teaching leader at CQUniversity. He actively seeks and responds rapidly to student feedback and engages his students in project-based learning.
His use of a unique approach that strongly focuses on CQUniversity's identified graduate attributes is an excellent example of the ‘teaching-research nexus'.
Peter's philosophy of ‘learning by doing' has significantly contributed to excellent student learning outcomes in the courses he teaches.
