Research Office staff support under-funded youth centre

Staff from CQU's Office of Research delivered packages of non-perishable foods to the Wahroonga Youth Centre (mostly for abused and homeless children) in Rockhampton this week.
The staff members enthusiastically agreed to help after hearing that the Centre is under-funded.
This is the third year that Research staff have supported Wahroonga.
"Every Easter we deliver copious amounts of Easter Eggs, fluffy toys and some non-perishable food to the Centre," said Research Office Director Megan Barrett.
"Every Christmas we deliver gift-wrapped presents for each of the resident children at the time (Wahroonga provides us with a gender and age list and we buy for them).
"All the donations come out of our own pockets and, every time, it has been the idea of the staff, rather then me suggesting or directing it.".
