The scholarship, which is valued at $2000 for CQUniversity Social Work students or $1000 for Welfare Studies students, has been established to assist students with the tuition and educational expenses incurred while studying.

"We look forward to the scholarship recipient working with us to develop an understanding of our service and in turn we both benefit from the learning and experience gained and shared."

CQUniversity's Director of Development and Graduate Relations Suzi Blair is pleased to be continuing the partnership with Anglicare CQ.

"On behalf of our students, who are often making many sacrifices to complete their studies, we are very grateful to Anglicare Central Queensland for their generosity in providing this scholarship and for the encouragement the scholarship will provide," Ms Blair said.

"Scholarships make a significant and immediate impact on a student's ability to succeed at university and in turn contribute to regional development through the acquisition of skills they achieve. We are proud to partner with such a prominent CQ organisation. By working together with community and business organisations we can help our students to be what they want to be."

Since the turn of the century Anglicare CQ, which employs over 200 people across Central Queensland, has provided care to the community by addressing emotional, social and physical needs across the region.
