Reconciliation Statement extended to international campuses
Published on 03 November, 2005
Framed prints of CQU's Reconciliation Statement are being delivered to campuses at Brisbane (Nov 2), the Gold Coast (Nov 2), Melbourne (Nov 8) and Sydney (Nov 9).
In each case, the Statement is being acknowledged in a ceremony involving representatives of Chancellery, Nulloo Yumbah (CQU's Indigenous Learning, Spirituality and Research Centre) and the particular campus.
CQU has produced the Reconciliation Statement as part of the reconciliation process with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The statement is in both visual form (in a painting by Kate Oates, a young Aboriginal artist) and in words.
The Reconciliation Statement prints will be displayed in a prominent place on each campus.
