Graduate returns for CQU financial audit

Bobby-Lee Kennedy returns to CQU this week with a team of auditors from KPMG to carry out the annual university audit.

The Auditor General's Department has for the first time awarded a contract to a consulting firm for the audit and we are fortunate to have on the team one of our former students.

PhotoID:1643 Completing a double degree, Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Business (Information Systems), in December 2003, Bobbi-Lee accepted an offer of a position as an Adviser with KPMG Risk Advisory Services, in their Brisbane office.

She has since been involved in risk audits of a number of large organisations including an airline. Because of the expert nature of the team of 11, Bobbi-Lee can expect to find herself in any part of the world.

Bobbi-Lee and her colleague are in Rockhampton this week carrying out surveys as their part of the audit.

To ensure her future and career opportunities with KPMG, Bobbi-Lee will soon commence study to become a Chartered Accountant, and said that an MBA was probably in the next stage.
