Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Bushmill Band to give taste of Aussie origins 

PhotoID:4487Bringing a taste of Australia and its origins to the CQU Multicultural Fair and Open Day, The Bushmill Band will entertain audiences with its Australian bush ballads, bush dancing, Irish music and rock ‘n' roll.

With their guitars, fiddles, whistles, bodrahn, banjolin, tambourine, lagerphone and drugs the band provides an unmistakable sound.

Bushmill Band are highly committed to performing and preserving Australia and Irelands' heritage and tradition of dance music and song for all to enjoy.

Bushmill has been performing since 1999 throughout Central Queensland.

Visitors to the CQU Multicultural Fair and Open Day can enjoy entertainment from the Bushmill Band at 12pm at the interactive stage.
