Students Prepare for Farewell Performance

Three third-year music theatre students have been preparing for their farewell cabaret performances at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music Theatre in Mackay.

PhotoID:285 Music Theatre coordinator Judith Brown said Julie Price, Madeline Cain and Emily Fraser had put in a huge effort devising their own shows for assessment. Ms Brown said the cabarets would also be a farewell Mackay appearance before they join with the other music theatre graduates for a Showcase performance for theatrical agents in Melbourne on December 3.

She said the students had worked hard on fundraising - including carwashes - to ensure they could afford to travel to the showcase event.

PhotoID:286 The next third-year cabaret event will be held in the Conservatorium foyer from 8pm on Friday, October 4. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 concession, with bookings on 4940 7800.

The cabaret performances are accompanied by Judith Brown on piano.
