The future of digital music really computes at Radio 4YOU
Published on 26 April, 2013
Community radio station 4YOU was happy to pick up a couple of surplus computers from CQUniversity recently.
The technology won't just be sitting on an administrator's desk. The station will be seeking volunteers to continue the digital conversion and cataloguing of thousands of record albums, making it easier for announcers pick the best songs for airing.
Radio 4YOU President Doug Gambling, Secretary Karin Stokes and committee member Greg Ahchay gathered at Rockhampton Campus recently to receive the computers.
If anyone would like to volunteer to help with the digital conversion (training is available) or to donate funds (with tax deductible benefits) or to get involved as a supporter, they can contact (07) 4927 2444 email radio4you@bigpond.com or visit http://www.4you.org.au/ .
Radio 4YOU, also known as Capricorn Community Radio, has been broadcasting to Rockhampton and district since 1989.
