Families both wedded to university

It was a special occasion for two Central Queensland University families last month when their son and daughter were wed.

Matthew Davis and Nicole Cardnell, just married on Saturday September 17, have strong ties with the University with both their sets of parents being employees at the Rockhampton campus and both having graduated with CQU degrees last year.

PhotoID:2314 It was just 12 months ago that Matthew and Nicole walked down a different sort of aisle together to receive their degrees. Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Professional Education (Japanese), while Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

Nicole’s father Dave Cardnell is the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning in the James Goldston Faculty of Engineering and Physical Systems; while mother Jan Cardnell is the Manager of CQU Press. Matthew’s father Geoff Davis is the Accounts Officer for Facilities Management; while mother Jan Davis is the Acting Senior Internal Auditor for the University.
