Support for Golden Xmas through Salvation Army donation

The Salvation Army Mackay will use donated Christmas goodies to assist 200 local families in need this year.
Central Queensland University Golden Key members joined a number of local businesses that collected much-needed groceries and toys.
Golden Key member Janice Nelson said staff and students gave generously to an appeal that directly supported the local community.
“Christmas is a wonderful time for sharing and thinking of those who are less fortunate than ourselves. This donation allows us to help a variety of people,” she said.
Salvation Army Captain Clayton Spence said people seeking assistance from the Gregory Street Community Service Centre and the Domestic Violence Refuge would be among those to receive donations.
