Students make a splash on campus

Dressing up as a bear, a clown, a princess or a zookeeper is not how most people spend a Sunday, but a group of final-year Bachelor of Learning Management students at CQU Gladstone did just that when they organised a family day for the community recently.
The students organised the 'Make a Splash' expo as part of their assessment for the BLM's Advocacy, Leadership and Change course.
CQU Education lecturer Lyn Hughes said the day was designed to promote the joy of parents and children interacting together.

The event was held on CQU Gladstone campus and community service groups such as the Gladstone City Library, the Art Gallery and Museum and the Gladstone Communities for Children had information stalls and were running activities throughout the day.
The children were able to dress up, make handprints and hats or enjoy games of tug-of-war and bubble blowing with their families.
