Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Another 'Big Night In' for Rocky music lovers

Newly-arrived lighting gear enhanced the wonderful sounds from CQUniversity Music students during their recent 'Big Night In' concert on Rockhampton Campus.

The energetic concert featured fast moving and high energy sets of jazz, pop and rock standards.

There will be another Big Night In show at Rockhampton Campus from 7.30pm on May 24. Details and bookings are via 4940 7800.  Entry is Adults $12, Concession $8 and Children $5 for this showcase of the talents of jazz and popular music students from the Bachelor of Music program.
