CQU Infocom staff baked, bought and ate over 25 batches of fudge to raise $600 for the Queensland Cancer Fund.
Fudge cooker Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning Elizabeth Tansley said the most popular flavours among infocom staff were strawberry fudge, peppermint, funtime and pecan.
"Other flavours included zesty orange, mocha, ultra dark, butterscotch, rum, caramel, macadamia, cherry ripe, malt, hazelnut and almond and some interesting combinations," she said. Fudge sorter and packer Commerical Campus Coordinator Chartlotte Harlen said "all the proceeds go to Daffodil day, this is Infocom's effort to fudge out cancer".
Infocom staff also attended a morning tea to raise further funds and eat more fudge. The fudge was sold to infocom staff for $2 a packet and all ingredients were donated by staff.
