Country Fire Authority benefits from Melbourne Campus donations

Staff at CQU Melbourne International Campus decided that rather than conducting the usual 'Kris Kringle', they would make a donation to a charitable fund.
Donations were collected at the End of Year dinner and the generous staff donated a wonderful $725.
It was agreed that due to the devastating fires in Victoria, the $725 should be donated to the Country Fire Authority.
The funds will be used to train more fire fighters to help combat the enormous bush fires that are ravaging the Gippsland and Mountain regions.
A most appreciative Deputy Chief Officer, Graham Fountain of the CFA, escorted campus representatives Darryl Stewart and Gerald Bottoni on a tour of the Fire Control Centre, where they saw at first hand the scope of the operations across Victoria and the data and logistics necessary to back up the fire-fighting teams on the ground.
