Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Mackay makes bold statement at Careers Market

Central Queensland University Mackay formed the largest display at the recent Mackay Careers Market.

PhotoID:919 Universities, training colleges and employment organisations from throughout Queensland displayed material relating to career options, with CQU staff from all faculties offering advice to prospective students.

Representatives from the Student Association and Golden Key Society also spoke to members of the public.

CQU Mackay invites school leavers and mature-age students to attend the university-based Careers Evening on September 4, from 5-8pm in the Conservatorium foyer.
