Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Almost 100 at Singapore graduation 

Almost 100 students attended CQU's Singapore graduation yesterday (Thursday, November 9).

The Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor both attended the ceremony at the Orchard Parade Hotel.

Of the 98 graduates, a slight majority (47) were from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health, with 45 from Business and Informatics and 6 from Arts, Humanities and Education.

MBA (Marketing Management) graduate Ms Varinder Kaur Bajaj D-O Bhajnik Singh delivered the closing address on behalf of the graduates.
