Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Time to Team Up! 

Nomination forms for Lunchtime Sports and Yoga / Tai Chi Classes at the CQ Commuity Sports Centre in Rockhampton are available according to Scott Lovegrove, Sports, Clubs and Events Manager (CQU Student Association).

“We’re looking to develop an awesome lunchtime activity program at the Community Sports Centre for the staff and students of CQU,” says Lovegrove.

You can nominate a team or as an individual. For anyone signing up “alone”, Sport Centre personnel will be able to find someone you can play with and against. The lunch games and the Yoga / Tai Chi classes are dependant on numbers, so please take the time to get your applications in.
