Mum and daughter have lots to celebrate

A Yeppoon mother and daughter will experience one of life's wonderful opportunities when they both graduate from CQUniversity together tonight (Feb 24).

But there's much more to celebrate.  Both Lisa and Shae List have graduated from the same degree, the Bachelor of Learning Management, and have excelled in their studies - both graduating with Distinction.

The pair have recently launched their primary teaching careers in Rockhampton with Catholic Education, Lisa at St Joseph's Park Avenue and Shae at St Anthony's School.

Lisa said they never planned to study together, it just happened that way.

"It was by chance that we ended up doing the same degree, as Shae originally started off studying Psychology then changed to teaching after the first year.

"By that time I had decided to study teaching - something I was going to do 20 years earlier."

Although Lisa believes Shae was probably a greater support for her, particularly with the technology component, they both were very supportive of each other.

"We really enjoyed seeing each other gain success with grades and employment.

"We also had good family support from my husband and my other 2 daughters."
