Mackay books find new homes

CQU Mackay Library Society members were happy to see hundreds of second-hand books find new homes at their Annual Book Sale at the weekend.

Library Society members worked tirelessly on Sunday and Monday in the refectory to help the people of Mackay shuffle through thousands of books that were so kindly donated by the CQU Mackay Library and the general public.

PhotoID:3071 "We had a great response," said Library Manager Pauline McNee. "We found that on Sunday the volume of people wasn't so high but folk that came along really bought up big which was great," she said.

On Monday Staff and students really got stuck into the books which were so well organised into various categories by Library Society members over the past few weeks.

Left over books are now displayed in the library and still on sale for those who missed it. Get down to the library anytime to grab a bargain.
