Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Beef capital hosts Atomic Energy Agency visitor 

Rockhampton's metamorphosis from bush hub to innovation hub may be complete with a visit by Dr Madan Rehani ... a radiation safety specialist with the International Atomic Energy Agency based in Vienna.

Dr Rehani will address medical imaging and health science professionals during a free talk on radiation protection of patients and a networking event at CQUniversity Rockhampton, from 5pm-7pm on Monday September 13.

As well as his IAEA role, the visitor also represents the International Organisation of Medical Physics and the International Commission on Radiation Protection.

Dr Rehani will be accompanied by Canadian medical radiation specialists Lori Boyd and Joan Laurie.
