Creative writing program a hit in Gladstone

Gladstone’s budding writers have been meeting each Thursday morning at CQU Gladstone for a creative writing course, organised by CQU Foundation’s Fay Owens.
Local resident, Noel Wooton, a retired journalist and businessman, facilitated the course which aimed to help people discover their creative writing skills.
About 12 people, mostly seniors, enrolled in the three-week program and Fay said it has been a huge hit.
“Noel is amazing everyone with his knowledge and enthusiasm, he is so motivational,” said Mrs Owens.
The short program has been such a hit that the Foundation office is now hoping Noel will run a similar program at CQU Rockhampton next year.
