Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Symposium to build bridges with industry 

Excellence in engineering was showcased at Central Queensland University’s Final Year Engineering Project Symposium last week.

PhotoID:945 The event was hosted by the James Goldston Faculty of Engineering & Physical Systems and featured work by graduating Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering Technology students. The symposium provided a forum for industry, CQU staff and students and interested community members to see the level of knowledge and expertise that CQU engineering graduates possess.
