Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Top achievers recognised at Melbourne Campus 

CQUniversity Melbourne continued the trend of recognising its students who have gained top marks across the University.

Ten of the 17 Term 3 2009 top scorers attended a luncheon to receive their commendation letters from Darryl Stewart, State Director, Victoria.

Mr Stewart was delighted to hear exceptionally positive comments from lecturers about the top achievers' hard work, commitment and desire to achieve the best.

During the presentations, students acknowledged and thanked their lecturers for helping them achieve the best results.

The analysis of Term 3 2009 results revealed that 30 other students from Melbourne Campus secured either the second or the third top positions across the University.
