More success for Training, Employment and Career Coaching in Sydney

Throughout the year, the TECC unit has been involved with numerous success stories involving career development and coaching of students at CQU Sydney International Campus.

Recently TECC observed a few more successes from the Undergraduate campus.

PhotoID:3545 Multimedia students Richard Grof (Czech Republic) and Kai Man Wong (Hong Kong) beat a lot of competition to be selected for the intern program at Liquid Vision, 1 of Sydney’s leading interactive agencies. This opportunity will allow the students to work on commercial web development projects.

The initiative was made successful with the participation of TECC Manager Suzana Vicentijevic and CQU SIC Multimedia Lecturer Andrew Mamo.

“The internship with Liquid Vision offers Richard and Kai Man training in all stages of web development and first-hand experience in client liaison, project managing and involvement in commercial projects, all of which extend the skills they acquired across a range of courses studied in the Bachelor of Multimedia Studies,” explains Andrew.

Liquid Vision director Deric Goh was impressed with the portfolios “and he’s been very happy with Richard and Kai Man’s performance in the busy commercial environment”, states Andrew.

Not to stop there, TECC is also pleased to have placed IT student Tajinder Singh in a full-time position at Citech, an independent global provider of industrial automation, real-time intelligence and next generation manufacturing execution systems (MES).

Tajinder arrived from India in 1982 and is now an Australian citizen. He has acquired experience through challenging roles that included working for IBM at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
