Figures 'work' for CQU during enrolment period

Central Queensland University has received good news during the QTAC enrolment period – a national survey has confirmed the University’s graduates get jobs at a rate above the national average. The national Graduate Careers Council of Australia (GCCA) figures confirmed this month (Sept) show CQU’s rate of graduate job success is 82.6 per cent, compared with the national average of 80.1 per cent and compared with the average for New Generation Universities (with which CQU is grouped) of 77 per cent.

Meanwhile, CQU bachelor degree graduates gained a median annual starting salary of $38,000, compared with the national median of $37,000.

The figures from a 2003 survey of bachelor degree graduate job success have been known since earlier this year but were yet to be confirmed.
