Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Last chance to win artwork in Relay for Life raffle 

CQU staff member David Downer has kindly donated an artwork (pictured above) valued at around $700 to be raffled to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

PhotoID:1714 The CQU-based Conga Against Cancer Relay for Life team will draw the raffle next Monday, so there are still a few days left to buy tickets.

The artwork is entitled 'Aerial Dream'.

The image size of the original work is 30X36 inches or 915mm X 762mm. The image is produced as an archival photographic print.

Mr Downer recently sold most of the artworks on display at his first major exhibition at the Walter Reid Gallery.

Relay for Life is the fun-filled fundraiser for Queensland Cancer Fund, due to be held at CQU Rockhampton on the weekend of May 14 and 15.
