Active Kids heading back to CQU Rockhampton

The annual Active Kids Sporting and Recreation Camp is scheduled for CQU Rockhampton from January 15-19, 2007.

Active Kids Rockhampton has been developed by the School of Health & Human Performance to give boys and girls aged 9 – 13 plenty to do after the Christmas excitement has died down.

Around 150 kids are expected to attend.

The project team will be talking on healthy eating and helping children understand the difference between good and poor nutrition as part of the week’s sessions, along with fun-packed sporting activities.

CQU students play a major role in Active Kids, with student PE teachers and Industry Practicum students from the School of Health & Human Performance forming the Project Team and Camp Captains for the Camp. This group of motivated students is already immersed in preparations for the 2007 camp.

Details on the camp are available at: www.ahs.cqu.edu.au/hhp/active_kids.htm .

There's an early bird discount for registrations completed by November 30.
