Donors make awards night a success

About 200 people attended the CQUniversity Rockhampton Annual Academic Prize and Scholarship Presentation last night...
Among the 52 award recipients were 3 scholarship winners. The Independent Australian Laboratories Scholarship was awarded to Christopher MacCormack; the Desmond Tabone Engineering Scholarship was awarded to Brendan Harms; and the Robert James Diamond Science Trust Scholarships were awarded to Kelsey Williams,Taylor Stritzke and Tara Monks.
Helen Diamond, Veronica Rickard, Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard, guest speaker Helen Gallehawk, Ron Diamond and Jan Landsberg of Zonta.There were also 27 Faculty of Arts, Business, Informatics and Education prizes and 21 Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health prizes presented.
The Fund for Accessing Future Potential Prize for Research Excellence was awarded to Dr Nicholas Young.
Guest speaker for the evening was previous prize winner Helen Gallehawk.
Donor Prizes and Scholarships Coordinator Melissa Misztal said the presentation evening was a huge success, with 32 donors able to attend in person.
