Couple join forces to raise money for charity

For the past 7 years staff at CQUniversity (and in the past 2 years staff at Queensland Rail) have had the odd dietary slip-up but it has been for a good cause.
They have joined forces to raise much-needed funds for Childhood Cancer Support Inc.
Jenny Hilcher and Karen Reynolds
Gary Reynolds representing Queensland Rail and his wife Karen representing CQUniversity have been busy fundraising at their respective workplaces and are calling on other workgroups to get behind this worthy cause.
They host barbeques, raffles and sell snacks to support Childhood Cancer Support and have donated over $11,000 in that time. This year the total raised was $3500.
Each year the couple host a celebratory morning tea to present a cheque to Jenny Hilcher, the Events Coordinator of Childhood Cancer Support, and to thank their supporters.
"Unfortunately, you tend to be unaware of what support mechanisms are on offer until cancer touches your life," said Jenny.
"Childhood Cancer Support is one of those organisations we really can't do without and any funds raised, like those here at CQUniversity and Queensland Rail, go directly toward supporting CQ families."
