Social workers introduce Catherine the Clown

A group of first-year social work students will introduce Catherine the Clown to CQU Rockhampton Open Day on Sunday, August 14.

Catherine will be handing out lots of goodies as she wanders the campus. Children are invited to look out for Catherine from 10am to midday.

The theme of the social work display will be centred on ‘Life is pretty twisted without a Social Worker’.

The aim is to encourage the community to consider and hopefully access social workers as a supportive structure when life becomes twisted.

The display will be both interactive and informative and can be found in the social work tent located near the main stage.

Members will be available for discussion and to hand out gifts and resource material on the day.
