St Ursula’s Year 10 students were told how university differs from school life at a recent careers day.
Central Queensland University staff Tina White and Priscilla Crighton gave the students an insight into university assignments, timetables and social activities.
Ms White said new University students could expect to become independent learners, attending lectures and tutorials without having teachers overseeing their study.
“At CQU we hope our students will develop life-long learning skills which will put them in good stead for their chosen careers.” The year 10 students were given CQU information packs including details on all the programs offered at the University.
