IPP-SHR visit promotes new initiative

Representatives from CQU’s International Program for Psycho Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) visited CQU Rockhampton to promote the release of the ‘Psycho-Social Update’ newsletter last week.

PhotoID:3645 Program Manager for IPP-SHR, Hamish Holewa, met with staff from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health to showcase the newsletter and discuss current research programs.

“We are very excited by the launch of the Psycho-Social update as it provides a way of getting our message out to the public. It also celebrates the fact that psycho-social research is now a well-established discipline that is making a real difference in the world of health care,” Mr Holewa said.

IPP-SHR has released 18 publications this year and is currently undergoing research projects in the areas of palliative care, health education, haematology and ethical decision making.
