Cuddily Koala to visit the Fair

Cuddily Koala, the mascot of Central Queensland Koala Volunteers and a great favourite with children, will be mixing with the crowd at the CQU Multicultural Fair and Open Day this Sunday.

The volunteers will have an interesting display and handouts of their work which supports Koala research in Central Queensland. New members are always welcome.

In addition, the volunteers will be fundraising. A new item for sale will be a 2007 Pocket Diary which features reproductions of paintings by Koala Volunteers and well-known artists Carmen Drake, Dawn Pound, Jo Lawrence and Rhonda Melzer. Each month will feature a coloured reproduction - a great Christmas gift and selling for $12.

Other items will be the favourite Koala Chocolates, gift-boxed chocolate-covered whole macadamias, reversible cloth hats with volunteers' logo and other merchandise.

Visitors to the display will be most welcome and further information (including a special children's section) is available on www.cqkoala.org.au .
