Plenty of options at Rockhampton Careers Expo

The annual Rockhampton Careers Expo will be held on Tuesday, June 7, at the YWCA in Robinson Street, North Rockhampton, from 3pm until 7pm.

All Queensland universities are expected to be there along with TAFE displays, apprenticeship information, private providers and the defence forces.

PhotoID:2040 "The expo is open to all ages not just school leavers," said Expo Committee Chair Tony Gubbins, "and we encourage anyone who is looking to further study or further skills updating to come along and see what is on offer.".

Parents are also encouraged to accompany their children because much of the information is aimed at them.

Central Queensland University staff will also be on hand to conduct a sample career planning exercise to help people make better decisions about their futures.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to attend the expo.

Mr Gubbins said the Expo is an annual event and this is the only chance patrons will have to speak to representatives of the various exhibitors. Entry is free. ENDS.
