Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Singapore student now with leading US biotech company 

Albert Chua's Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree from CQU has taken him from his home in Singapore to world-leading biotech company Genentech, based in San Francisco.

Genentech uses human genetic information to discover, develop, manufacture and commercialise biotherapeutics that address significant unmet medical needs. It has multiple protein-based products on the market for serious or life-threatening medical conditions and over 30 projects in the pipeline. It has strength in all areas of the drug development process — from research and development to manufacturing and commercialisation.

Mr Chua studied CQU's degree at the Hartford Institute of Management in Singapore.
