Iran's Assistant Professor Fatemeh Rakhshani (pictured right with CQU's Dr Sansnee Jirojwong) is nearing the end of a six-month sabbatical research visit to Central Queensland University Rockhampton.
CQU School of Nursing and Health Studies staff have been providing input for the visitor's World Health Organisation research aimed at devising training for malaria health educators.
Assistant Professor Rakhshani is Dean of the Zahedan School of Health at the Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
She will present her research findings at the 18th World Conference on Health Promotion and Health Education in Melbourne during April 26-30.
The visitor has also established collaborative research activities with CQU senior lecturer Dr Sansnee Jirojwong, so that issues relating to health among disadvantaged groups in different social and cultural settings can be discussed and compared.
Assistant Professor Rakhshani will be at CQU until March 22.
